Shohei Ohtani is back from his elbow surgery and looks like he’s just as good as everyone makes him out to be. Not only can he hit, Ohtani pitches in the Angels starting rotation and is extremely efficient. Through 36 games this season, Ohtani has pitched 5 times and contains an era of 2.10. In 25.2 innings pitched he has 40 strikeouts and has only given up 2 homeruns. Did I mention that he throws his fastball right round 99-100 mph. The kid is absolutely insane as a pitcher and a hitter. As a hitter, Ohtani is batting .257 but has 35 hits, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 10 homeruns, and 26 RBIs for the Angels. His on base % is also above .300. He’s lately been in a slump at the plate but he’ll be fine in the long run. The Angels sit in last in the American West division at 16-20, but they are at least fun to watch with Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani showing up to play every night.
