Harris English and Kramer Hickok went into a 8-hole playoff at the Travelers Championship and it was wild!

What a tournament it ended up being at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut! Kramer Hickok was paired up with Bubba Watson for the final pairing on Sunday, and the final round did not disappoint. Bubba has won the Travelers Championship 3 times (2010, 2015, 2018) so he was the odds on favorite heading into the final round of the championship. This didn’t last long, as Bubba crumbled down the stretch and fell outside the top 15 for a T-19 finish. Bubba shot 73 (+3) which was among the worst final rounds of all the players in the field.

On the other hand, Bubba’s playing partner Kramer Hickok played pretty solid down the stretch of the final round. Hickok 67 (-3) which was enough to get him into a sudden death playoff with Harris English. English made a clutch putt on hole 18 to card a 65 (-5) for his final round and the putt ultimately got him into the playoff with Hickok.

The sudden-death playoff between Hickok and English did not disappoint as they had to play 8 holes to finally decide who the winner was going to be. The first 7 holes, both players made par on every hole and nobody was flinching. Many 5 footers were made to keep this match alive by both English and Hickok. Finally, on the 8th playoff hole both players had a chance to take advantage of birdie putts they had on the 18th green. Hickok went on to two putt for his par, but English wasn’t letting it get to a ninth playoff hole. English drained a 20 footer for his birdie and for the W.

What a way to finish this week’s tourney at the Travelers Championship!!!
