Paul George puts up 41 points to avoid elimination, Clippers host Suns for Game 6

Paul George may have played his best game on Monday when the Clippers went into Phoenix down 3-1 in the WCF and won 116-102. PG had 41 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists in his efforts Monday night, and it was enough to give LA their first win in Phoenix so far in the series. Clippers’ Guard Reggie Jackson added 23 points, 5 boards, and 3 assists in 38 minutes vs the Suns. What may be most impressive about the W, is that the Clippers were without two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, and center Ivica Zubac. Marcus Morris was a big piece to the Clipper’s overall success throughout the night. He had 22 points (20 in the first half) in 38 minutes.

So, now the plot thickens as suddenly LA has some newfound hope in this WCF that seemed done just a couple days ago. Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue is now 3-0 this postseason when staving off elimination and is 10-3 all time in his career. It is starting to become part of the Clippers identity in the postseason. They usually find themselves down in series’ and have to dig out of a hole to have a shot at advancing. The story remains as they will have a chance to force a Game 7 back in Phoenix if they are able to pull out a victory in LA on Wednesday night.

Game 6 on Wednesday night has come out as a pickem so each team is equally likely to win based off of sportsbooks. The over/under is set at 215. So, can LA do the unthinkable and win 3 straight to claw their way out of the treacherous 3-1 hole?
