Fernando Tatis Jr. wasted no time in his return into the Padres starting lineup. He stepped into the batter’s box and thought one thing, “Make them remember why they missed you,”. The 22-year old All-Star did just that by hitting 2 homeruns in his epic return while also playing a new position….RF. Tatis Jr. drove in 4 runs and led the Padres to a 8-2 victory over the horrible Arizona Diamondbacks.
The return of Tatis Jr. is huge for the Padres as they had lost 4 in a row before getting a victory last night, and they have 15 players in the injured list so they need as much help as they can get. They’ve taken a complete nosedive in the NL West standings with the Giants and the Dodgers leading the way. We shall see if San Diego has a push in them or if they’re content with a wild card heading into the postseason.
