Damian Lillard went off last night for 55 pts…and the Blazers lost

Damian Lillard put on a show last night in Denver but it wasn’t enough to capture a W. Lillard had 55 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists while the Trailblazers took the Nuggets to double overtime, but eventually lost 140-147. Lillard made history last night as he is the only player to record at least points, 10 assists, and 10 3-pointers in a single game, regular season or postseason. Despite his epic performance, Portland finds themselves down 3-2 in the series and it’s headed back to Portland for game 6 Thursday night at 8PM eastern. The Blazers have been a playoff team for a while, but they haven’t broke through to get into the Conference Finals and Lillard’s prime years are happening right now so it’s a now or never attitude for the team. Denver is playing without Jamal Murray and are still playing really good basketball despite not having one of the league’s best players. This series has game 7 written all over it and it has been the best round 1 series in all of the NBA!
