The following tournament after a major championship is always a little underwhelming because the stakes aren’t as high, but this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge will still be exciting. The field is full of high quality players that played in the PGA Championship the previous week. A list of some of the odds leaders is below…
Jordan Spieth 10-1
Justin Thomas 12-1
Collin Morikawa 14-1
Daniel Berger 18-1
Abraham Ancer 20-1
Tony Finau 22-1
Patrick Reed 22-1
Sungjae Im 25-1
Will Zalatoris 25-1
Corey Conners 25-1
Scottie Scheffler 25-1
Joaquin Niemann 30-1
Justin Rose 30-1

Jordan Spieth will have a huge following this week, as he always does at the Charles Schwab. He is the listed odds leader going off at 10-1. Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas is right around where Spieth grew up and fans are always buzzing when he’s in town.

Justin Thomas will be looking for his first win since he won at the Players Championship earlier this year at TPC Sawgrass. JT surprisingly missed the cut at the PGA Championship and will be looking to bounce back in a big way at Colonial. JT has 14 PGA Tour wins and has the potential to really get his game going in the summer months of the golf season.

Colin Morikawa had a solid week at the PGA Championship. He placed in the top 10 and cashed a nice check ($263,000) after his tie for 8th. Morikawa has been a stud since coming out on the PGA Tour. He has won 4 times and captured his 1st major at the 2020 PGA Championship just a year ago. He isn’t the longest hitter, but his consistency with his irons is what makes him such a remarkable golfer. His approach shots gain a lot of strokes on the field.

Tony Finau is another player who is looking to peak at the right time. He also finished in a tie for 8th at the PGA Championship and will be looking to build on his performance at the Colonial. Don’t be surprised if he’s up there on the leaderboard come Sunday afternoon.
