Ke’bryan Hayes is gonna be a star in the MLB…just give him a few years.

Ke’bryan Hayes is only 24 and is playing in just his 2nd year in the MLB. He was called up by the Pirates in 2020, but only got to play in 24 games so this year will really be his first full year in the big leagues. In the 24 games he played in during the 2020 regular season, Hayes batted .376 with 32 hits, 5 home runs, 11 RBIs, 2 triples, 17 runs, and an OPS of 1.124 which are all staggering numbers. Hayes got hurt in the first series of the 2021 regular season and is just now getting back into the starting lineup with the Pirates. He has played in just 10 games this season and is batting .316 with 12 hits, 3 home runs, 1 triple, and 7 RBIs. He broke a Pirates record last night with his homerun against the Brewers as well. Hayes is the fastest Pirate to get to 20 extra base hits. It took him just 34 games which was one game faster than it took Barry Bonds to complete this milestone. I was at PNC Park for Pirates game vs the Marlins and was fortunate enough to see Hayes play. He’s got raw talent and a lot of pop off the bat. His first AB he hit an absolute shot over the center field wall. If he can stay healthy, watch out for him in the next couple years as the Pirates look to develop a baseball club that’s worth watching! Here are his 3 homers this year…all killed.
